Child Development
Apart from girls’ school, no government run school ever allows girls to participate in sports competitions. As a result, girls remain deprived of this exciting opportunity. SARA organises such events in rural areas with the objectives:
1.To provide opportunities to girls to play and to demonstrate to the society that they too have the capacity.
2.To provide opportunities to girls to come together to discuss their problems.
3.To highlight their potential through cultural, sports and creative activities.
Adolescents are grouped together in to groups called “Bal Panchayats”.Regular elections of Panchayats are conducted to provide children with self-governance.
Imparting habit of discipline and decision-making among the children with knowledge of their rights motivates them to participate in various activities at their village, community and family level.
